The Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region has called on all educational institutions in the region, public and private, to receive students from the city of Ksar El Kbir and the flood-affected areas.
The Regional Academy of Education and Training requested the provincial directorates of National Education, Early Childhood Education and Sports, and also the neighboring Regional Academies of Education and Training, to issue instructions to all public and private educational institutions under their management to receive female and male students coming from the city of Ksar El Kbir and the flood-affected areas, and to enable them to continue their studies there without any conditions, on a temporary basis until the situation improves and they return to their original residences.
The Regional Academy added, in a memorandum in this regard, that this decision comes in light of the exceptional circumstances that some areas of the region are going through, particularly the city of Ksar El Kbir, due to the recent weather disturbances and the resulting floods, which led to the suspension of studies for a full week.
It clarified that the decision also came due to the evacuation of a number of residential neighborhoods and the temporary relocation of a significant number of families to other cities within the region, stressing that it falls within the framework of the Academy's commitment to ensuring the right of female and male students to education, enabling them to continue their studies in safe and suitable conditions, and ensuring pedagogical continuity during this exceptional phase.
The same source emphasized the importance of the concerted efforts of all stakeholders to make this solidarity and educational measure a success, praising all administrative and educational staff for their cooperation and responsible engagement, in the interest of the learners and to ensure the continuity of their educational path.
Se recuerda que los comités regionales de vigilancia en las diversas prefecturas y provincias de la región de Tánger-Tetuán-Alhucemas decidieron prorrogar la decisión de suspender las clases para incluir este jueves en todas las instituciones educativas ubicadas en el territorio de la región, debido a la continuación de las perturbaciones meteorológicas que experimenta el norte del Reino, y que la situación se actualizará según la evolución de las condiciones meteorológicas, destacando que la decisión se toma por interés en la seguridad de los alumnos y alumnas, el personal administrativo y educativo y todos los usuarios de las instituciones educativas.
Asimismo, el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Educación Primaria y Deportes anunció la adopción de la plataforma digital de aprendizaje a distancia "TelmidTICE", para garantizar la continuidad pedagógica en las instituciones educativas donde se han suspendido las clases, basándose en los boletines de alerta emitidos por la Dirección de Meteorología.
